Ravi Mahey is a Director of Family and Child Care at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. She is a Solicitor-Advocate and specialises and litigates in all areas of children law, in particular public law cases where she acts for children themselves through their guardians, in addition to representing parents in adoption and child abduction matters. She has developed a niche specialism in acting for cases involving forced marriages, abandoned spouses, honour based violence, and FGM. She has also been involved in a number of complex medical cases involving allegations of ‘baby shaking’, non-accidental injuries, attempted murder and factitious illness syndrome. Ravi has been instrumental in running a variety of pro bono clinics, collaborating with Women's Aid, Fathers Groups, MENCAP, the national FGM clinic, working alongside FORWARD and Infringement. Ravi has over 17 years’ experience in child law and has been a member of the Children Panel since 2011.
