Work Highlights
Drafting Renewable Technology-Inclusive Heat Supply Legislation
Assisted in drafting the Law on Heat Supply, proposing new standards and a system of incentives to utilise renewable energy and improve energy efficiency in the sector. Raushana and her team worked on the draft Law on Heat Supply, drafts of the secondary regulations, amendments to the Electricity Law, Administrative Violations Code, Civil Code and other primary laws.
Battery Storage
Conducted a study on the development of energy storage in Kazakhstan based on global experience in this area, including local market activities, wind and solar power generation, transmission and distribution network, energy storage and sustainable energy use.
Modernisation of Almaty TPP-2
Provides comprehensive legal support for the investment project of Almaty Power Plants JSC on the modernisation of Almaty TPP-2 with a focus on minimising the environmental impact. During the reorganisation of the investment project, the primary attention is given to reducing legal risks, preventing negative consequences, missed opportunities, and potential legal disputes, including arbitration proceedings. This includes conducting a thorough analysis of documents, drafting necessary contracts, including an EPC contract, and ensuring compliance with Kazakhstani legislation, applicable law, and international legal norms, including the laws of the People's Republic of China when necessary.
