Rachael:
• Specialises in high-value construction, engineering, technology, infrastructure, nuclear/energy along with professional negligence and insurance claims related to these sectors. She also acts in public procurement disputes for public authorities and major contractors.
• Is instructed as a junior and as sole barrister/advocate, including acting as sole advocate in international arbitrations. Her clients are domestic and international. She has experience in the English Courts and also representing parties under various international arbitral rules (including: ICC, LCIA, DIFC-LCIA, UNCITRAL and DIAC) and also in disputes where the substantive law has been that of the UAE and the Slovak Republic.
• Leads teams on complex legal and technical matters during the case preparation stages and at oral hearings. She also enjoys working closely with and within legal teams to achieve the best results for her clients.
• Advises on/represents clients in all forms of commercial dispute resolution, including: mediations; adjudications; proceedings under the Railway Industry Dispute Rules; and at the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.
• Has been appointed as the legal nominee on a Dispute Advisory Board and is also a TECBAR Adjudicator.
