His primary practice areas are commercial law (contracts and securities), banking and finance and dispute resolution relating primarily to these areas. Apart from representing clients at state courts, Péter is regularly appointed as an arbitrator.
Péter earned his law degree and later a PhD and an LLM at ELTE Law School. He also holds an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from the LSE.
After graduation, he worked in the Ministry of Justice in the preparation of the new Hungarian Civil Code. He joined Gárdos Mosonyi Tomori in 2008, where he became a partner in 2014.
He has taught at the Civil Law Department at ELTE Law School since 2007, currently as an associate professor.
He is an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration attached to the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Péter published a book on the law of assignment, and his new book on transfer of contracts will be published in 2024. He edited a book on the treatment of fiduciary securities in Hungarian law. He regularly publishes articles in the field of contract law, the law of securities and company law. He is an author and co-editor of the commentary on the Hungarian Civil Code.
