Patricia Nacimiento

Practice Areas

Patricia is an expert in dispute resolution with a special focus on commercial and investment arbitration, as well as all forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation. Her experience include the law of nations as well as business and human rights. She has extensive experience both as a party representative and as an arbitrator. She also has considerable expertise in cross-border litigation and arbitration-related proceedings. Her main areas of practice are in energy, infrastructure and post M&A disputes. Patricia has extensive experience in managing large strategic dispute resolution proceedings and leading cross-border teams.

Career

Patricia graduated from Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg and further studied at stages in New York and San Francisco. She holds a Doctor of Laws and gives lectures on arbitration at the universities of Berlin, Heidelberg, Frankfurt and Europa-Institut in Saarbrücken, as well as for students in Chile .

She is a native German speaker and fluent in English, Spanish, Italian and French.

Patricia has a proven academic track record and publishes regularly in leading publications. She is co-editor of leading arbitration handbooks "Arbitration in Germany - The Model Law in Practice" (Boeckstiegel, Kroell, Nacimiento (eds.) Kluwer 2nd ed 2015) and "Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards: A Global Commentary on the New York Convention "(Kronke, Nacimiento, Otto, Port Kluwer, 2nd edition 2025).
