Mike is a leading Wellington silk. He has a wide-ranging practice in major commercial litigation with particular expertise in energy, property, insolvency and contractual disputes. He also acts on Treaty of Waitangi related matters (both for and against the Crown) and constitutional matters for the Crown e.g. a constitutional challenge to the Crown’s three waters legislative programme.
He has been consistently recommended by Chambers and Partners and other leading law directories.
Prior to joining the independent bar in 2017, Mike was a partner at Bell Gully for 17 years. While at Bell Gully his internal roles included being a board member, being a co-chair of the ethics committee and being head of the litigation department.
