Experience
Michael is a founding partner in Joseph Hage Aaronson’s tax litigation team. He is highly experienced in contentious tax litigation at all levels of the UK’s Tax Tribunals, domestic courts and the European Court. Michael also runs major tax disputes in non-UK jurisdictions. He is noted by clients for his excellence, approachability and clarity of advice and his practical and commercial approach.
Michael is currently instructed on a criminal tax investigation on behalf of a high net worth individual. He has also been instructed by a major overseas property investment company in relation to a large development in London and by a number of resident, non-domiciled ultra-high net worth individuals.
He has developed a specialism in the taxation of cryptocurrencies and NFTs and represents a number of clients in this space.
Michael successfully led the PPCN litigation in June 2023.
