Matthew McMurray

Matthew is a commercial and pragmatic energy lawyer specialising in the all-island energy market with a particular focus on regulatory and advisory work.

Matthew has an in-depth knowledge of the electricity and gas sectors which helps inform his work across a wide range of commercial contracts including corporate power purchase agreements, connection agreements in relation to the electricity and gas networks, interface agreements, support scheme contracts, project development agreements, supply and installation contracts etc.

Matthew has also been involved on providing legal drafting for various codes and licences applicable to the sector.

Matthew plays a key role in energy transactions and financings, conducting due diligence and inputting into transaction documents to ensure that project specific risks are appropriately managed.

He is qualified in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
