Matthew J Norton

Matt Norton is a partner in Dentons' Real Estate practice. He maintains an international practice focused on corporate and real estate transactions and financings, cross-border investment, and commercial and residential real estate development, with a particular emphasis on resort and hospitality projects. He advises clients on the acquisition, development, repositioning and financing of projects throughout the United States, Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Prior to joining Dentons, Matt served as the lead practice leader of his former firm's Real Estate practice and led its global Resort, Hospitality and Leisure practice. He regularly represents clients in the structuring and development of resort, hospitality and mixed-use projects, including condominiums, condo hotels, shared ownership products, private clubs, golf courses, hotels, marinas and other destination-oriented developments.

Matt has significant experience in hotel law, including hotel management, franchise and license agreements, as well as the acquisition, financing and disposition of hotel properties. He also has extensive experience representing public REITs and advising on complex real estate and hospitality investments. Chambers USA has recognized Matt for his hospitality and resort work and noted his impressive global commercial real estate practice.
