Work Highlights
McLaren Property and Arlington Real Estate on the £1.1bn 112 acre York Central Regeneration Scheme, in partnership with Homes England and Network Rail. The scheme will include the delivery of 2,500 homes and 1m sq ft of offices, retail and leisure spaces.
Pension Insurance Corporation (PIC) on the £265m forward funding of 2 Ruskin Square, Croydon opposite developer Schroders. The 334,940 sq ft grade ‘A’ office space will be home to 3,000 employees of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities which has taken a lease for 25 years.
The acquisition by Land Securities of a 75% share in Media City, Salford from Peel and L&G for c.£450m.
Pension Insurance Corporation (PIC) on the £105m forward funding of no 9 First Street Manchester. The deal was Manchester’s largest post pandemic office deal (August 2022). The 130,000 sq ft building will be home to 2,500 employees of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities who have taken a lease for 25 years.
AimCo and Ridgeback on the purchase of a £283m portfolio of five UK build to rent assets under development from Angelo Gordon.
Mountpark Properties on its sale to JP Morgan of a pan-European portfolio of industrial and logistics assets with a value in excess of £500m.
Manchester Airport Group on the disposal of its non-operational property portfolio across Manchester, East Midlands and Stansted Airports to CTI Threadneedle for a consideration in the region of £350m.
Tristan Capital on the acquisition of a portfolio of recently completed (and in part pre-let) “shed” schemes at Kettering, Redditch, Avonmouth and Poole from RCL Richardson for a price in the region of £200m.
AimCo on the acquisition of a dozen industrial estates from Starwood Capital for a value in excess of £250m.
Leading the real estate team for two Canadian Pension Funds, Quadreal and PSP, on their widely reported joint venture and initial £750m cash placing with URW in relation to Cherry Park, Stratford, one of London’s largest PRS schemes which will deliver 1,200 new homes.
Salford City Council on the purchase and forward funding of the 170,000 sq. ft. Building 100 at Ask/Tristan Partners Embankment Scheme in Manchester and on an income strip structured MSCP real estate investment with counter-parties Legal and General and NCP at ECF’s New Bailey Scheme, Manchester.
Far East Consortium on Northern Gateway, one of Manchester’s most ambitious housing-led regeneration projects across 300 acres and 10,000 housing units, expected to generate around £1 billion of investment over the next decade.
Mayfield Partnership on the £850m regeneration project of the Mayfield Quarter of Manchester City Centre.
