Co-Leader of the National Insolvency and Financial Restructuring Group. Advises debtors, creditors, holders of notes or debentures, and insolvency Court appointed officers. Acts in insolvency and financial services litigation matters. Significant roles in: the restructurings of Asset Backed Commercial Paper, AbitibiBowater, Boutique Jacob, Quebecor World, Bikini Village, Mega Brands, Mexicana Airlines, MAAX Corporation, Mechtronix Systems, Hexagone Group, BioAmber Inc., the liquidations of the Norbourg and Evolution Family of Mutual Funds, Swissair and Maple Bank. Current mandates include representation of the Banking syndicate in the cross-border insolvency of Groupe Aldo, acting for the CCAA Monitor to the restructuring of the retail chain “Tristan” and representing The Bank of Nova Scotia in the CCAA restructuring of Groupe Atis.
