Lucy Rigby, one of ‘the’ market experts on collective redress, brings and manages large-scale group actions including opt-out claims in the Competition Appeal Tribunal. She is one of the lead partners in the abuse of dominance claim against Qualcomm and has brought claims on behalf of thousands consumers and businesses in their claims against Daimler arising from the emissions scandal during 2022.
Lucy has experience of conducting litigation before the Competition Appeal Tribunal, High Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. She has worked on European and domestic antitrust investigations for public and private companies, as well as for the regulator, and has experience of working on high-profile merger transactions. Lucy also worked for Privacy International in its intervention in the European Commission’s review of Google’s acquisition of Fitbit and represented the Consumers’ Association (Which?) in its intervention in Mastercard v Merricks before the Supreme Court in 2020.
Hausfeld is a founding member of the Collective Redress Lawyers Association, CORLA, and Lucy was instrumental in launching the association during 2022 and remains their policy officer.
