Leyza Blanco has more than 20 years of experience in handling out-of-court workouts; debt restructuring; and representation of creditors, receivers, assignees, trustees and debtors in bankruptcy and complex commercial real estate matters in state and federal courts; appeals; appointed receiver, arbiter and special master in cases.
She was named among Top 50 Women in Florida Superlawyers and among Latin America’s Top 100 Female Lawyer by Latinvex. She is a Fellow of the thirty-second class of the American College of Bankruptcy and serves as Chair of the International Women’s Restructuring and Insolvency Confederation (“IWIRC”). She is also Chair of the Florida Bar Business Law Section and is a member of its Executive Council since 2007. Leyza serves as Special Projects Director for the American Bankruptcy Institute Asset Sales Committee and is a Certified Civil Court Mediator in Florida.
Blanco was named the recipient of the IWIRC’s 2019 Melnik Award for exceptional contributions to IWIRC and for her efforts to expand IWIRC to South America.
