Leo is a Legal Director in the Reputation Protection Group at Lee & Thompson.
He has considerable experience in all areas of reputation management, including those involving defamation, privacy, harassment, data protection and intellectual property issues. He regularly provides advice to individuals and companies in pre- and post-publication disputes with newspapers and broadcasters.
In recent years, Leo has acted for dozens of phone hacking victims in claims against Mirror Group and News Group Newspapers, netting over £3 million in damages for his clients.
Additionally, Leo regularly provides pre-publication clearance advice to leading film and TV production companies and other publishers.
More generally, Leo has a varied commercial dispute resolution practice, advising clients in relation to a variety of disputes within the creative industries, including those involving breach of contract and intellectual property issues.
Leo completed undergraduate and master’s degrees in music at King’s College London before converting to law. He trained at media firm Carter-Ruck.
