Career
LaKeisha John-Farrell is a Partner who works with the firm’s regional Banking and Finance, Cannabis, Compliance, Corporate, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, and Real Estate practice and sector groups.
Complimentary to her legal qualification, LaKeisha is a professional member of the International Compliance Association, having completed the ICA International Diploma in Governance Risk and Compliance.
With approximately 10 years post qualification experience, she commenced her early years as a practicing attorney in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and thereafter practiced in the British Virgin Islands.
During her years of practice, she has dealt with matters in the Magistrate’s Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.
Since joining Dentons, LaKeisha has been working on both lending and recoveries matters for a wide array of banks and financial institutions. She also advises on various multi-jurisdictional matters and provides advice to many within the industry on compliance, corporate governance, market-entry, and ensuring that emerging product offerings and innovation due technology advancements are compliant with local law.
LaKeisha’s court activity is primarily recoveries focused her other matters falling within the broad areas of corporate and commercial law. She is a zealous and dedicated attorney and also works with the real estate and property team on various projects in both mainland St. Vincent and down through the Grenadine Islands.
