Career
Kerem Turunç has extensive experience in representing borrowers, issuers, lenders and underwriters in international and domestic finance transactions and securities offerings (including under English, New York and Turkish laws) such as credit facilities, project finance transactions, high yield and investment grade bonds, convertible bonds, initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary offerings, rights offerings, special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) and block trades. Kerem Turunç also has substantial experience in inbound, outbound and domestic private and public M&A deals, representing corporate and private equity buyers and sellers alike, including in corporate reorganizations, leveraged buy-outs and spin-offs. In addition transactions, Kerem Turunç works closely with private equity and venture capital funds on fund formation and structuring issues. He also advises international and domestic clients extensively on public and private company governance matters.
Kerem Turunç’s experience covers many jurisdictions including Turkey, the European Union, the United States, Latin America, Asia, Israel and Russia, and a wide variety of industries including automotive, banking, consumer goods, energy, healthcare, industrial goods, information technology, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and transportation.
Before joining TURUNÇ, Kerem Turunç worked in the New York and London offices of the international law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.

Kerem Turunç is admitted to the Bars of New York, the District of Columbia, England & Wales and Istanbul. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
He is a founding member and a board member of the Istanbul Arbitration Association.
Kerem Turunç also serves as a co-chair of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Working Group of TÜSİAD (Turkish Industry & Business Association — Turkey’s most influential business association).
