Ken has extensive court and inquiry appearance experience and has conducted some of the most significant planning challenges in recent years (four of which have gone to the House of Lords/UK Supreme Court - for Land Securities/Standard Life, Standard Commercial Properties and two for Tesco Stores). He has, for many years, been recognised as a leading practitioner in this area.

Career

Ken was previously Head of Litigation at Semple Fraser and was responsible for the considerable volume of contentious planning work handled by that firm, most of which was for major property development and investment clients - Tesco, British Land, Land Securities and the likes.

He is a dual-qualified planner and lawyer, having gained Royal Town Planning Institute membership in 1986. He has over 30 years' experience in dealing with planning and development related litigation.
