Karim Ghaly QC specialises in the litigation and arbitration of substantial commercial, construction & engineering, energy, insurance, natural resources, professional negligence and project finance disputes. He has represented multi-national corporations, governments and state entities (including NOCs), PPP SPVs, private employers, developers, contractors and professional advisers.
Karim has appeared as lead counsel in litigation and arbitration arising out of major projects in Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, South America, South East Asia and the UK. His extensive advocacy experience includes appearances before the English Court of Appeal, Commercial Court and TCC as well as arbitration under a wide range of institutional rules.
In addition to his work as counsel, Karim accepts a limited number of appointments as arbitrator.
