DBML provides services in family law and succession with expertise in negotiated solutions and in litigation cases. We represent a wide variety of clients, such as top executives, entrepreneurs, heirs/heiresses. We have come highly recommended by successful lawyers and law professors for many years, including providing services to their respective families also. We work with transnational families and those with assets in many states of Brazil and overseas.

In addition, DBML provides customized and multidisciplinary solutions to families in other areas of law practice such as civil and strategic litigation, tax and business law. We have developed strong partnerships with highly experienced professionals from other areas of expertise: mediators, psychologists, accountants, engineers among others.

Portuguese, English, Spanish and Italian speakers in the team, with diversity being very valuable within our practice. We have provided specialized services for LGBT+ families from the very conception of our practice up to now. Juliana Maggi Lima, head of the team, has recently published a book: “Família Homoafetiva” (“Homoaffective Family”).

As a founding partner of DBML Advocacia, Juliana leads the Family, Succession, and Estate Planning and Aging department, leveraging her solid background in these areas. Her extensive experience in civil matters further strengthens her ability to provide insightful legal advice and representation. With a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of legal frameworks, Juliana ensures her clients receive top-tier counsel in navigating legal challenges, either through negotiation or litigation.
