Senior Counsel in BLG's Insolvency & Restructuring Group in Calgary. Has practised for more than 40 years in the areas of insolvency & restructuring, commercial litigation, and international arbitration. Has been involved in over 400 trials and arbitrations and has extensive experience arguing matters on appeal. Has acted in numerous insolvency and restructuring proceedings, including many cross-border restructurings. Experience also includes acting as lead counsel in trials and arbitrations in the fields of corporate and shareholder disputes, banking, engineering, oil & gas, contractual, patent, and seismic data disputes. Appointed King’s Counsel in 2010. Elected as a member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada in 2010. Recognized as Insolvency and Financial Restructuring Law Lawyer of the Year – Calgary in the 2019 edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada.
