José Antonio Miguel Neto is the founding partner of Miguel Neto Advogados and one of Brazil’s most respected corporate lawyers, with over four decades of experience advising clients on complex corporate, M&A, and business law matters. Renowned for his strategic vision and business-oriented mindset, he has built a distinguished career providing practical, results-driven solutions to sophisticated corporate challenges.

Since founding his independent practice in the early 1990s, José Antonio has advised domestic and international family-owned groups and corporations in structuring and consolidating their business operations. His expertise spans M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations, governance and compliance implementation, debt renegotiations, and strategic tax planning, always with a focus on optimizing structures, preserving value, and supporting sustainable growth.

Today, José Antonio leads the firm’s Corporate and M&A practice, directly advising on mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, corporate reorganizations, capital markets matters, and investment fund structures. In addition to his legal practice, José Antonio serves on the boards of several major Brazilian companies, including Três Corações, Embalagens Flexíveis Diadema, Blau Farmacêutica, Movecta, Lojas Belian, and Pro Security. He is also a long-standing member of the Brazilian and Portuguese Bar Associations, the International Bar Association, the Union Internationale des Avocats, and Interlegal, where he previously served as Chairman.
