Practice Areas

 Jane's areas of expertise include advising on a wide range of problems in connection with financial transactions. These include derivatives litigation and other banking disputes (including over investments in structured products) and related issues such as margin calls and other collateral requirements.

Jane’s expert knowledge also covers the following areas:

Banking litigation, often in relation to cross-border cases

Advising in relation to a range of commercial disputes

Settling disputes by mediation and arbitration


Jane obtained a first class honours degree from Cambridge University and a first in her Law Society finals. She trained and qualified with Allen & Overy and worked with them from 1992-2003, three years of which was spent in Hong Kong (where she qualified to practice law in 1998). She joined Gibson & Co., one of the oldest firms in the country, as a partner in 2003.


Married to fellow litigation partner, Toby, with three children.
