Jane Bennett

Jane Bennett is a highly experienced private client lawyer, with over 20 years specialising in Court of Protection law. Jane was a partner in London City/Westminster law firms for several years prior to setting up JE Bennett Law in 2012. JE Bennett Law specialises in Court of Protection law; professional deputyships, expert witness matters, personal injury trusts and elderly client law. The firm is dedicated to empowering and supporting clients in vulnerable circumstances and today as Managing Partner, Jane has a team of around 40 hardworking specialists, including 8 partners, who share her passion for providing a caring, excellent and efficient personal service. Jane also leads the firm's COP Personal Injury and Expert Witness Division.

With comprehensive experience in handling financial and care/welfare matters under the Court of Protection, Jane has a significant number of disabled and/or clients in vulnerable circumstances for whom she acts as financial deputy and professional trustee. She also advises lay deputies and trustees.

Jane is regularly asked to act as claimant or defendant expert witness in catastrophic injury and high value claims in relation to professional deputy and trustee matters.
