Experience
James is a partner in the Saskatoon office where he focuses on corporate governance and commercial real estate and financing, natural resources law and land development law.
James practices in the areas of corporate, commercial and transactional law with a focus on matters relating to corporate governance, commercial real estate and financings, natural resources law and securities law. His clients span many industries including but not limited to natural resources and mining, manufacturing, land development including capital projects, hospitality, franchises, and agriculture.
His work regularly includes general corporate structuring and re-structuring as well as organizational and governance matters. He has assisted clients with general business advice from initial incorporation, asset and share purchase situations, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings using exemptions or prospectus, partnership agreements and commercial leasing issues. He also has extensive experience in First Nations Financing and unusual structured financing events. James has acted for numerous medium and large scale commercial organizations, both privately owned and TSX listed, as well has experience working with domestic and foreign based junior mining corporations.
