Jacob is a senior associate in the Competition, International Trade and Foreign Investment Group of our Toronto office. He assists both domestic and international clients on trade disputes and cross-border regulatory matters, including customs, economic sanctions, anti-dumping and countervailing duty, and investment dispute litigation.
Jacob provides advice to businesses regarding customs compliance (including Canada’s forced labour import ban), procurement, economic sanctions, and export controls, and to government clients on free trade agreements and World Trade Organization (WTO) matters. Jacob regularly appears before the Canada Border Services Agency, Canadian International Trade Tribunal, and Federal Courts.
Prior to joining Osler, Jacob worked at another Canadian law firm.
