Hugues Gaston is a Family lawyer admitted to the Paris Bar. He has experience in all areas of family breakdown.

His practice covers both complex financial cases and child-matters.

He advises clients on a broad range of international and domestic family law issues, including divorce or any kind of separation (de facto relationship, partnerships), inheritance, adoption, surrogacy, recognition and enforcement of foreign decisions in France, whether in the context of litigation or negotiations.

He also has a significant experience on mutli-jurisdiction divorce cases (notably Europe, United-States of America, United-Kingdom, Singapore, Hong-Kong, Japan and United Arab Emirates).

He has a particular expertise in child abduction cases due to his academic graduation and internships during his training as a lawyer.

Finally, Hugues also works on cases involving the drafting of pre-nuptial agreements.

Career

Hugues Gaston has a degree in family law delivered by La Sorbonne Law School (Paris).

Hugues also has a degree in arbitration (domestic and international arbitration).

During his studies, he worked with Delphine Eskenazi and Frances Goldsmith (Libra Avocats law firm) for three internships.

In 2019, he joined Alexandre Boiché & Associés law firm as a trainee-lawyer before becoming an associate during 5 years.

He is now a partner on the same firm.

Prior to join Alexandre Boiché & Associés law firm, he has also worked in the Department of Mutual Assistance, Private International and European Law (French Ministry of Justice), Central Authority in the application of numerous instruments of private international family law (Hague Convention of October 25, 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, Hague Convention of October 19, 1996 on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Cooperation in respect of Parental Responsibility and the Protection of Minors).

Finally, Hugues taught family law for 7 years at La Sorbonne Law School (Paris).
