Guillaume Staal is a Partner at Dickinson Gleeson and an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey with a busy dispute resolution acting for ultra HNWI, HNWI, financial institutions, law firms, executors, settlors, trustees and beneficiaries. Guillaume advises in relation to issues arising from their commercial and trust relationships and his principal areas of expertise include dealing with allegations of breaches of fiduciary duty, contractual disputes, enforcement of foreign judgments and associated freezing and disclosure orders.

Guillaume also deals with issues concerning trust administration, applications to court for directions, disclosure of information to beneficiaries and third parties and challenges to the exercise of trustee powers.

Guillaume has been described as “responsive, considered and pragmatic”, “very impressive”, "a future star" and "a very understated but very intelligent legal mind".

LLB English and French Law (King’s College London) and Maitrise en droit (French law degree) (La Sorbonne, Paris).

Called to the Jersey Bar in 2010

2006-2012 - Worked for Jersey’s Attorney General as a legal adviser to States of Jersey departments and to the States of Jersey Police making numerous court appearances as a prosecutor.
