He was involved in a number of landmark transactions such as advising Exide Holdings in the extensive reorganization of its European/rest of world operations and their subsequent sale to its secured noteholders pursuant to a credit bid; Upfield (controlling shareholder is KKR) on the acquisition of Arivia; KKR on the acquisition of heidelpay from AnaCap; Advent International/Bain Capital in the acquisition of leading German payment services provider Concardis GmbH and the subsequent merger of Concardis Payment Group with Nets A/S; Novalpina Capital/Odyssey Europe AS in the successful takeover offer for Olympic Entertainment Group in a transaction with a highly complex structure unprecedented in the Baltic states.

Business administration studies at the Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires (INSEAD), Fontainebleau, France (MBA 1984). Admitted to practice in Germany in 1986 and licensed as a tax advisor in 1988.
