Georges has extensive expertise in real estate, capital market and corporate transactions. He worked at prominent specialised law firms and his experience spans significant transactions, including mergers and acquisitions across various sectors such as hospitality, communications, commercial and executive aviation, cosmetics, and real estate. He has been involved in both legal due diligence and the drafting and negotiation of contractual instruments. 

He has extensive experience in (i) the acquisition and sale of stakes in shopping centres by large Real Estate Investment Funds (FII), (ii) the acquisition of shares in Special Purpose Companies (SPEs), as well as land, commercial slabs, and entire buildings; (iii) advising financial institutions on the structuring and public offerings of shares in Real Estate Investment Funds (FII); (iv) advising family groups and individuals on the organisation or reorganisation of assets, structuring property investments and succession/estate planning and (v) advising individuals and companies on the acquisition and sale of properties of various sizes and values.

Georges has advised and acted in the following transactions:

- Advising Real Estate Investment Funds in the purchase and sale of stakes in Shopping Centres, shares/quotas from specific purpose companies (SPE), as well as real estate properties, corporate offices and towers;

- Advising financial institutions on structuring and on the public offerings of Real Estate Investment Funds (FII) shares;

- Advising families and individuals on assets organisation and restructuring, real estate investments and wealth planning;

- Advising individuals and companies on the purchase and sale of different types of real estate properties, performing legal due diligence as well as negotiating and drafting of agreements;

- Advising companies and individuals on the purchase and sale of rural properties in different states in Brazil, as well as relevant agribusiness related agreements such as rural lease, sharecropping, purchase and sale of eucalyptus forests, timber deeds, and others.

Career

Before founding Martens & Dornaus Advogados, he worked as a trainee at Mattel do Brasil Ltda (2004-2006) and as a lawyer and partner at De Vivo, Whitaker e Castro Advogados (2006-2013).  

Education: Georges holds an LL.B from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do São Paulo - PUC/SP (2005) and a specialization degree in Corporate and Business Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas - FGV (2008) and extension courses in corporate law at the same institution.
