Emmanuelle Cabrol is Head of the Ashurst Paris' International Arbitration practice.

She has more than 20 years' experience in international arbitration, handling complex international cases under all major sets of rules (ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, LCIA, Swiss Rules, DIS) in many jurisdictions, including most French-speaking African countries. Emmanuelle acts as lead counsel and advocate for large corporations in commercial disputes across a variety of sectors, and notably has a strong track record in energy (nuclear, biomass, solar, oil & gas, mining).

She has developed a leading expertise in disputes involving states. She has acted in a series of ICSID proceedings, both on the side of the State and of investors. She also regularly sits as an arbitrator in a range of cases, under the ICC and the Swiss Rules, including as chair.

She is a member of arbitration institutions worldwide (ICC, LCIA, ASA) and of the ICC Commission on Arbitration. She has co-authored for many years a column on arbitration between states and foreign investors in the International Business Law Journal and lectures on this topic at Paris X University. Emmanuelle is also recognised for the quality of her advocacy and is lecturing on Advocacy in Arbitration at La Sorbonne.
