Elaine is a partner based in our Tokyo office. Elaine works in the Dispute Resolution practice and has well over a decade of experience in Japan. Elaine focuses on international arbitration and regularly acts for Japanese parties in disputes arising from a wide range of sectors including energy, power, infrastructure, manufacturing, automotive and technology. She also represents clients in fraud, corruption and cartel investigations. Elaine has acted as counsel in arbitrations under the SIAC, ICC, LCIA, JCAA, HKIAC, VIAC, TAI and UNCITRAL rules. In addition to her work as counsel, Elaine also sits as arbitrator. Elaine is dual-qualified in Singapore and in England & Wales. She is licensed to practice as a registered foreign lawyer in Japan. Prior to Tokyo, Elaine practised in Singapore and in Paris.
