Career
Dipali is dual-qualified in the UAE and England & Wales, with more than 18 years’ experience. She leads the Private Client Services practice at Al Tamimi & Company, advising high net worth individuals, families, family businesses, and family offices on all aspects of their private wealth structuring, succession, and legacy planning, both locally and internationally. Her expertise spans contentious and non-contentious matters, including asset protection, estate planning, inheritance and family disputes, personal status issues (such as divorce, custody, alimony, and child maintenance), enforcement of foreign judgments, as well as pre- and post-nuptial agreements, wills, and probate.
In family law, Dipali is recognised for her strategic and determined approach, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor who fiercely safeguards her clients’ interests. She acts in both local and expatriate family law cases, spanning Muslim and non-Muslim matters, and is frequently instructed in high-value and complex cases with cross-border elements. She is experienced in advising on divorce, child arrangements, financial settlements, and inheritance disputes, often involving multiple jurisdictions. With her deep understanding of cultural and legal nuances across the Middle East, Europe, the UK, USA, and India, as well as access to a global network of trusted advisors, Dipali is well-positioned to guide clients through sensitive family breakdowns and complex legal challenges. While she has an impressive record of achieving negotiated settlements out of court, she is also highly effective in litigation, having secured significant victories for her clients.
Dipali brings a uniquely international perspective to her practice, having grown up in a diplomatic environment that equipped her with strong cross-cultural awareness—an asset for clients navigating complex global legal and family dynamics.
She began her career in Corporate M&A in London, focusing on private equity and venture capital transactions. This early grounding in cross-border deals, fund structures, and shareholder arrangements provided her with a strong commercial understanding of the business and investment world in which many of her high net worth clients operate. It also gave her valuable insight into the lifecycle of family-owned businesses and entrepreneurial ventures, from start-up through to exit. Today, she draws on this experience to advise clients at the intersection of business, personal wealth, and family dynamics, anticipating governance, succession, and structuring issues and delivering solutions that are both legally robust and aligned with long-term family objectives.
