Debbie Fraser is the principal and founder of Fraser Law which concentrates on a commercial law practice. Debbie has been in practice since 1992 and is qualified to practice in Barbados and Jamaica. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica where she received the Legal Education Certificate of Merit. Up to April 30, 2021 Debbie was a partner and head of the Commercial Department of the largest law firm in Barbados. She left the firm at the end of April 2021 to start Fraser Law.
Prior to relocating to Barbados in 2003, Debbie was a partner in a leading law firm in Jamaica where her practice at the time covered various areas of law including copyright law, banking and corporate finance, telecommunications and commercial litigation.
Debbie was also a part-time lecturer including at the University of the West Indies (Mona Campus, Jamaica) in securities law, contract law and business law. She is a Commissioner of the Financial Services Commission of Barbados which is responsible for regulating the financial sector other than banking services.
