Chris is a seasoned risk, intelligence, and investigations professional with 25 years of experience in the field. He has led more than 500 investigations into FCPA and other anti-bribery and corruption matters, sanctions, anti-money laundering (AML), and fraud. Before joining Charles River Associates, Chris built the US division of an investigations firm, later becoming CEO of that company. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Lloyd’s of London political risk insurance market.

Having lived in Chile and travelled extensively throughout Latin America, Chris possesses a deep, on-the-ground understanding of the region’s diverse economic, political, and cultural landscapes. But he also has extensive experience gathering intelligence in other parts of the world, including West Africa and the former Soviet Union (FSU).

His broad experience spans multiple sectors: in Chile and Kazakhstan, he has worked closely with stakeholders in the mining industry, gaining first-hand knowledge of regulatory environments and community engagement; in Angola, Colombia and Guyana, he has advised on major oil and gas projects, addressing exploration challenges, supply chain issues, and complex geopolitical considerations; in Brazil and across Central America, he has supported financial services initiatives, including market entry strategies and fintech innovation; in the Caribbean, he has worked with FMCG companies to legitimise their supply chains and build brand presence while maintaining ethical standards.
