Chris Haan specialises in group and class actions and complex litigation. He is responsible for managing Phi Finney McDonald’s London office. Dual qualified as a solicitor in Australia and England and Wales, Chris’s wide litigation experience includes collective actions in the areas of securities and shareholder claims, investment and financial product fraud, competition and cartels, mass torts, product liability, employment, environmental and human rights. He conducted the first opt-out competition law class action in the UK and his cases have included some of the most significant group actions in the UK, such as the Volkswagen emissions group litigation. Chris’s clients range from major institutional investors and financial institutions to individuals and charities.
