Career
Carlos Mario is a lawyer from the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario (1986), with specializations in Taxation (1988) from the Universidad de los Andes, Company Law (1991), and Commercial Law (1993) from the Universidad Javeriana; and postgraduate courses in International Tax Law (2004) and Constitutional Law (2009) from the University of Salamanca.
He began his professional career at the Firm in 1989. Carlos Mario is the founder and director of the Specialization in Tax Law at Javeriana University; former president and honorary member of the Colombian Institute of Tax Law, and co-author of the PwC Tax Statute since 2016.
Since 2020, he was elected by the partners assembly as the main partner of PwC Colombia.
He has been recognized in various international rankings on tax issues, including: Chambers and Partners, International Tax Controversy, World Tax Guide Rankings, World Transfer Pricing and Latin Lawyer.
