Burkhard has 20+ years of experience in debt capital markets. He has vast experience in structured finance, in particular, securitisation, asset- based finance transactions, structured covered bonds, high yield bonds and other secured financing structures and in advising on the clearing through central counterparties and the settlement of securities.
Burkhard studied law at the Universities of Mainz and Konstanz and holds an LL.M from the University of Michigan.
He joined Linklaters in 2007, before that he spent seven years with a German law firm.
Burkhard regularly speaks at events organised by True Sale International, a body created by German banks to promote the use of structured finance in Germany. He is also a member of the German-American Lawyers Association and the Banking Law Association (Bankrechtliche Vereinigung).
