Bryan Tan

Bryan is a Singapore-based partner in Reed Smith’s Entertainment & Media Group. Highly rated in legal rankings, Bryan has extensive experience focussing on transactional, regulatory and legislative work across the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific countries.

He has considerable experience advising on venture capital investments into fast-growing technology companies; crypto currency and fintech products and technology; submarine cables and telecom infrastructure investments; cyber security, data centres, data protection and responses to data breaches; media and advertising; as well as on trade facilitation matters.

Bryan’s client base comprises governments as well as a broad range of industries across the TMT sector including video games, fintech, VC funds, healthcare, telecoms and technology.

He has authored many significant legal texts and is a regular legal commentator in the media. He has also conducted the law portion for the Certified Chief Information Security Officer’s course and is the vice-chair for the Advertising Standards Authority of Singapore. Bryan is qualified in Singapore and in England and Wales and has recently received Senior Accredited Specialist status for Data & Digital Economy by the Singapore Academy of Law.
