Bill's areas of practice include legal and tax compliance, tax dispute resolution, transfer pricing, and private wealth management.

His professional experience of over 23 years in Chinese taxation and his comprehensive knowledge and experience on legal and finance enable him to offer integrative solution from perspectives of commercial, legal and tax.

In tax consulting, Bill advised on share structure and transactional arrangement for all kinds of transactions, including private equity investment, outbound investment, FDI, domestic and cross-border M&A and reorganization, etc. In terms of tax compliance, Bill helped enterprises to establish a comprehensive tax compliance system, and assisted a number of well-known domestic telecom companies, consumer goods companies and healthcare companies to establish and improve the compliance system. In in field of dispute resolution, Bill has handled many major tax-related investigations, administrative reviews, administrative and criminal lawsuits and arbitrations on behalf of clients or as an expert witness in taxation. He also served as an external think tank of tax authorities in their disputes with taxpayers. In terms of transfer pricing, Bill has advised transfer pricing planning for all kinds of related party transactions, applied for bilateral advanced pricing arrangements (APA), and conducted transfer pricing investigation and defensed on behalf of taxpayers. For private wealth management and individual income tax planning, Bill helped high-net-worth individuals and founders of enterprises to plan and manage their wealth from the perspectives of individual and corporate tax, while taking CRS and finance management into consideration. In addition, Bill has extensive experience in employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) or in other means of employee incentive plans. He is also recognized as an experience legal practitioner in cross-border M&A deals.
