Betsy has been practicing law for over thirty-five years and has represented individuals and businesses in many different areas of law with a focus on family law, transactional matters, and civil litigation. Her early years in high stakes business litigation shaped her into the resilient advocate she is today. Betsy has devoted the last fifteen years of her career to family law. She received the Essex County Family Practice Award in 2022. Her representation in the family law field has included business owners and/or their spouses, leaders of public and private companies, and those in the financial, legal, medical, entertainment, and other industries. She handles all aspects of family law, including child custody, equitable distribution, alimony, child support, protection of non-marital assets, and the preparation and litigation concerning prenuptial agreements.

Betsy’s attention to detail and tenacity serves her clients well in handling challenging situations. Whenever possible, she crafts practical solutions for the issues her clients face and sets them on a path to amicable resolution. When necessary, she is prepared to represent a client’s interests in litigation. Her skills include settlement outside of court, mediation, motion practice, trial and appeals.
