Partner Arne Fuchs focuses his practice on international commercial arbitration and public international law, including investment treaty arbitration. He has experience with disputes conducted under most major institutional rules (including ICC, LCIA, HKIAC, SCAI and DIS Rules), the ICSID Convention and UNCITRAL Rules as well as with pure ad hoc arbitration. In addition to his role as counsel, he is also acting as (sole/presiding) arbitrator.
Arne is a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators. He is included on the list of arbitrators of the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association, the Panel of Arbitrators of the Asian International Arbitration Centre, the original pool of arbitrators and mediators at the Court of Arbitration for Art in The Hague, Netherlands and the Panel of Mediators of the Energy Community in Vienna, Austria. He serves as delegate of the German National Committee of the ICC on the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and is a Member of the HKIAC Users’ Council as well as of the Arbitration Committee of the IBA. In 2017, he was appointed by the International Court of Arbitration as Regional Representative for Europe and Russia Chapter of the ICC YAF (with a 2017-2019 mandate).
