Practice Areas

Advises charities, social enterprises and other not-for-profit and membership organisations on the corporate and commercial aspects of their activities, including advice on charity law and governance, fundraising and data protection, mergers and incorporations, solvency issues and contracting. Recently advised Breast Cancer Now on its merger with Breast Cancer Care and the sale of an insolvent charity’s business from administration by way of a “pre-pack”.


Trained and qualified (1995) at Ashurst Morris Crisp (1993–2003); Bates, Wells & Braithwaite (2004–08); joined Russell-Cooke as partner May 2008.

Lives in London. Attended Radley College, University of Southampton, University of Westminster and the College of Law. Trustee of a number of charities, member of the MCC and livery at Merchant Taylor’s Company and interests include fishing, and his allotment.
