Ana is an English qualified solicitor and has been advising clients in the oil & gas sector for over 15 years. She has extensive experience advising on projects and transactions in the MENA region, the CIS, UKCS and internationally, which ranges from advising on M&A in the heavily regulated North Sea to representing clients in entering frontier markets, such as Afghanistan and Iraq.

Prior to establishing Devine & Severova, Ana practised at leading international law firms in London and Dubai, including CMS, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Baker Botts. She has also worked in-house as legal counsel for a Russian oil trading company and through secondments at Dragon Oil (a UAE state owned entity), ExxonMobil and BP.
