Ana María has more than 11 years of experience in customs and international trade issues. Prior to joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, she worked at a global professional services firm, advising local and foreign clients on issues such as free trade zones, free trade agreements, customs valuation and customs regimes; as well as in the submission of applications for qualification, qualification and authorization of foreign trade users, among others. Ana María holds a law degree from the Universidad del Externado de Colombia, a Master’s Degree in International Business and Foreign Trade from the University of Barcelona and a specialization in Customs Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.
Ana Maria was co-director of the Journal of the Colombian Institute of Tax and Customs Law (ICDT) from 2021 to 2023.
