Ampika Kumar

Ampika Kumar co-heads the Insurance Practice Group and is a partner in the Corporate & Commercial, Insurance, Antitrust/Competition, Real Estate, and Hotel/Resort & Property Development Practice Groups at Baker McKenzie's Bangkok office. Her areas of expertise include insurance regulatory, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions (both for private limited and public limited companies), and trade competition. She focuses on such matters as mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and business integration primarily in the insurance sector. Her work also covers commercial contracts and competition law. Ampika was the lead counsel for some of the largest and most prominent outbound investment deals from Thailand, which will have a positive impact on large conglomerates in Thailand.

Ampika Kumar advises clients on a wide range of business transactions, antitrust/trade competition matters, and corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, the formation of joint ventures, commercial and strategic transactions.
