Ali Al Hashimi

With over 23 years of experience of civil and commercial dispute resolution in the UAE, Ali has extensive experience including advising local, regional, and international clients on a range of banking, Islamic finance, securities, construction, real estate and corporate matters. He is licensed to appear before all Courts of the UAE, including the Federal Supreme Court and the DIFC Courts and possesses a superior knowledge of the civil, shari’a and common law systems.

Ali has a deep understanding of the financial markets and sectors in the Gulf region and how the interplay of global financial markets can affect business transactions in the UAE. His extensive experience includes advising local, regional, and international clients on a range of banking, Islamic finance, securities, construction, real estate, and corporate matters.

He is licensed to appear before all Courts of the UAE, including the Federal Supreme Court and the DIFC Courts and possesses a superior knowledge of the civil, shari’ah and common law systems.

Ali is regularly invited to speak as an expert at conferences and as a contributor to panel discussions. He has published a number of articles and provides legal commentary and opinions in newspapers and magazines. Ali is also a member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) and of the International Bar Association (IBA).
