Career

Alexander Gebhard is a partner in the Banking & Finance Department. He advises banks, financial institutions, payment companies, FinTech companies, insurance companies and investors in all areas of banking, financial markets and investment regulation. His clients include banks, financial service providers, fund companies, financial technology companies and insurance companies.

His work focuses on all matters related to licensed financial activities and regulatory compliance. He has extensive experience in structuring financial products, including regulatory capital instruments, and the foundation, structuring and acquisition of financial institutions and payment companies. Another particular focus is advising FinTechs and joint ventures in the financial services sector, especially in the area of payments and in connection with blockchain-based applications.

Alexander Gebhard also has extensive experience in advising trading platforms and implementing corresponding brokerage structures.

Alexander Gebhard joined Schalast in 2012. Prior, he received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in London and worked with two international law firms in the areas of banking, finance and capital markets.

Besides, Alexander Gebhard is a lecturer for banking and civil law at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
