Career

Ádám Liber is a partner at Provaris, specializing in data protection, information technology, intellectual property, and competition law. He is the co-head of the Digital/Technology Law Team.

Ádám is a certified intellectual property expert and holds LL.M. degrees in U.S. and Global Business Law and in competition law, along with various international privacy certifications (FIP, CIPP/E, CIPM). With over fifteen years of experience, he has been a tech-savvy advisor to several multinational clients on issues relating to Hungarian and EU data privacy laws, complex outsourcing transactions, and international data transfers. Ádám represents numerous multinational and Hungarian clients from a wide range of industries in investigations, audits by various Hungarian authorities, and administrative disputes related to the use of digital technologies and compliance issues.

He is a frequent speaker at conferences and regularly publishes articles on European and Hungarian data protection and freedom of information laws. Since 2010, as the editor-in-chief of the data protection weblog DataPrivacy.hu, he has published more than 150 data protection-related articles in English and Hungarian. He is also a regular lecturer on data protection law, corporate compliance, intellectual property law, and antitrust/unfair competition.
