Ilias is a professor emeritus of criminal law at the School of Law, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens; as of 2013 he chairs the Hellenic Criminal Bar Association and is a member of the High Legal Council with the Bank of Greece.

- Successfully represented Helleniq Energy's former CEO in appellate proceedings in relation to environmental offences while operating the company’s oil refinery in Thessaloniki. The Court of Appeal Thessaloniki quashed the conviction by the first instance court and acquitted the defendant on all charges (Ilias Anagnostopoulos and Jerina Zapanti).
- Advising Novartis Hellas SA in connection with regulatory, civil, and criminal proceedings involving allegations of corrupt practices to healthcare professionals in Greek public hospitals, false accounting, money laundering, and anti-competitive practices (Ilias Anagnostopoulos and Alexandros Tsagkalidis).
- Representing in appellate proceedings before the Three Member Court of Appeal Athens GK, ex-CEO of Folli Follie Group, on charges of fraud, market manipulation, accounts rigging, and money laundering sitting in respect of the Group’s false financial statements (Ilias Anagnostopoulos and Jerina Zapanti).
- Represented the Government of Venezuela in extradition proceedings in Athens against an Italian citizen on charges of aggravated fraud, embezzlement, contraband, and money laundering committed by a criminal organisation involving government officials in relation to multiple oil cargos owned by Venezuela (Ilias Anagnostopoulos and Alexandros Tsagkalidis).
- Representing ZA, a former Julius Baer high-ranking officer, in ongoing trial proceedings before the Court of Appeal Athens sitting as a first instance court on charges of bribery and money laundering in connection with the purchase of military equipment by the Hellenic Ministry of Defence (Ilias Anagnostopoulos and Ioannis Tsakalis).
- Advising and representing NK, a prominent media producer and publisher, in an ongoing investigation by the Athens Prosecutor for Economic Crimes on allegations of tax fraud and money laundering (Ilias Anagnostopoulos and Alexandros Mezari).
