Ricardo Junqueira de Andrade
Mattos Filho

Ricardo focuses his practice on civil litigation and arbitration, in consultancy and litigation capacities. He represents companies from various sectors, such as mining, oil and gas, transportation, banking, real estate and pharmaceuticals. He is a member of the Parker School of Foreign and Comparative Law at Columbia Law School, the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr), and the International Chamber of Commerce.

Alex Hatanaka
Mattos Filho

Alex represents clients in court and administrative proceedings, arbitration and pre-litigation negotiations, particularly in banking and corporate disputes. In addition to his experience in dispute resolution, Alex is experienced in financial and capital markets transactions. Prior to joining Mattos Filho, he worked in the law firm of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP in the United States and served as in-house counsel for investment banks.

Flávio Spaccaquerche Barbosa
Mattos Filho

Flávio has experience in litigation and arbitration, advising and representing clients in court proceedings and in domestic and international arbitrations. His clients are from a variety of economic sectors and he focuses on oil & gas and construction disputes, among other infrastructure related matters. As an arbitration specialist, he is the former regional representative of the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum for the Latin America Chapter and former member of the ICC arbitrator appointing committee for the Brazilian National Committee. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Arbitration & Mediation Center of the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil.
